Lizzy Long Benefit

In May of 2010 the rain began to fall over Nashville Tennessee and surrounding areas. Rain isn't uncommon by any means but when it ceases to stop is when it can become a real problem. In this case that is exactly what happened. The rain soon turned to extreme flooding conditions causing many to flee from their homes. Fortunately, for Lizzy, she wasn't there while all of this was taking place but at the same time, unfortunately, that also meant that she wasn't there to get any of her personal belongings out of her home while there was still time. The end result? She simply lost everything to her name. Everything that we come home to everyday and all the things that make our house a home including the necessities for day to day life was taken from her. She was left with nothing. This is where we, Lizzy's friends, have come together to try to help Lizzy gain back some of what was lost. While we understand there are some things that cannot be replaced such as all the childhood and family photos and heirlooms that had been given to her, we can at least give her a start on beginning a new life making new memories. We are asking for any donation that you can make. A payPal account has been created and monetary donations can be sent to: lizzylu79@mac.com or you can mail a check to:

Elizabeth Long % Capital One Bank
800 Sterlington Rd.
Monroe, LA 71203

or to any other Capital One Bank but be sure to write "Benefit Fund for Lizzy Long" in the memo space. For all other donations that you may want to give you can contact any of the following friends of Lizzy who will be happy to help:

Marty Kutz (318)-237-6039
Donna Kutz (318) - 680-5021
Mariesa New (318)-801-9156
James New (318) 376-9890

Lizzy and all of us would like to extend a very special thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Also, please don't forget to join us August 7, 2010 for the bluegrass benefit festival. I good time is promised to be had by all!
